Duration – 8 hours approx.
Leave Muscat. Travel via Fanjah to the the region of Al Hamra we visit the scenic Wadi Ghul and stop at the old village of Ghul to see the abandoned Persian ruins. From here you make our way up to Jebel Shams, the highest peak in Oman at 3000 metres. From here you will have an outstanding view deep into the Grand Canyon of Oman. Picnic Lunch. On your way back, you will stop at Misfat Al Abrein, a picturesque village strapped on to the side of a mountain. As you walk around this beautiful village where time has come to a standstill, you will be moved by the simplicity and friendliness of the people. Return to Muscat.

▪ Swimming in Wadis– Wadis are a public tourist area and hence, it attracts both tourist & locals equally. Keeping in mind the country’s culture, all women are requested to wear clothes up to the knees. T-shirts & shorts are fine. However, bikinis only are not recommended.
▪ Trekking- Take as little as possible as conditions are usually steep and hot. Boots are required and it should be lightweight but beware of the aggressive nature of the rocks. Trekking shoes and light-colored clothes are advisable.
▪ During other tours – Smart casuals are suitable especially if visiting local villages and meeting local people.
